One ball challenge: free lace scarf knitting pattern

This month, our knitter across the pond in Canada has created a brand new free lace scarf knitting pattern with one skein of yarn! We love what she came up with, and we know you will too.

Summertime is upon us and it is season for fun and light weight knit wear  projects!  I am in love with infinity scarves right now and the first time I set eyes upon Manos silk blend Fino yarn I knew exactly what  I was going turn this beautiful skein into.

Maos Del Uruguay is one of my favorite yarns brands.Their Fino yarn does not disappoint. It is a silk merino blend (70% Extra Fine Merino 30% Silk) and is  a hand dyed ,4 ply, sport weight wool. I had this yarn sitting on my desk ready to be knit into something wonderful and I kept finding myself staring at its blue hues ( I used the color way 404 watered silk). The beauty of this yarn inspired me. I kept envisioning a beautiful summer scarf. I knew it wanted to be lacy, easy to knit, quick and only take one skein. For the edging I chose a I-cord border to add to beauty of the lace pattern. I am so happy with the results.

Below you can find my pattern for the scarf so you can knit your very own. It's such a great on the go, summer-friendly pattern!
