I bought this wool to do the under-coat cowl in the Rowan book 'the basics'. Of course I can knit but I wanted the pattern. It is a wonderful knit! My daughter claimed the first one, a friend the second and I have yet to knit another for me. Love the wool. Love the pattern. It's as warm as toast and knitted in an evening.
Last Christmas, everyone got a Rowan worsted weight hat. Next Christmas, everyone will get a cowl. Rowan Big Wool is a joy to knit with.
If I had kept onne long enough I would have sent a photograph. I will next time.
I do think it would be a good idea for Rowan to bring this pattern out as a single. it was a bit potty to buy to buy the whole learn to knit book when the pattern I wanted was only 13 lines long!

Excellent customer service from laughing hens you helped me source wool and colour. Rowan big wool is a joy to knit with, and finished cardi is warm and soft ideal for winter evenings.

Great chunky yarn, surprisingly soft against my children's neck (no complaints so far :). Becomes even softer after blocking. Truly surprising! A lovely slightly faded raspberry red.

I enjoyed knitting with Rowan Big Wool and was pleased with the jumper I knitted . I don’t have a photo as the jumper was a gift and currently on its way to Australia !

The color is rich with depth. It has great finger feel and it knit up so quickly. I have more bulky wool patterns and will definitely try this wool again in a different color.
